IASD Projects Guide

If you would like to contact someone at IASD, please see the Contact Us page.

The International Association for the Study of Dreams develop projects that range from the publication of current events and news to long term research in our peer reviewed journal, from short e-mail discussions to full international conferences. For two decades, IASD has explored new projects and developed new forms of education, research and practice in the field of dreams.

Generally, our projects are overseen by committees approved by the IASD board of directors. For a list of the current board members and officers, see Who is Who .

Here we would like to provide a brief glance at some of the ongoing projects you may be interested in joining or may be able to participate in as an IASD member.

Research Request Page

This project is for both researchers and individuals interested in being participants in dream research.  Jump right in!
IASD Provides Web Space for any member conducting research. Stop by the Research , fill out the form and we will provide the Web page. Also, hints on how to find participants online and other useful research information.

Graduate Studies Survey

The International Association for the Study of Dreams would like to provide detailed Web site descriptions of any graduate programs that support dream studies.  Prospective graduate students with interests in dreaming often know very little about the range of programs available.  Moreover, these students' advisors often are unaware of faculty at other universities whose expertise is relevant to their students' goals.  Consequently, the match between students and programs is often not optimal.

We are soliciting descriptions of opportunities for graduate study from as many universities as possible.  We want to collate those descriptions and place them on the IASD Web site so that they are widely available and readily accessible.

Dream FAQ Project

A. Stockdale 1997 ASD ExhibitionOne of the most useful files on a site is its FAQ file, or Frequently Asked Questions file. While IASD has addressed a few of the most common questions on this site, we would also like to develop a larger and more extensive FAQ on dreams and dreaming.

We would like your help

If you are interested in dreams and have a question you would like to see addressed, post that question on the IASD Bulletin Board. Also, keep an eye out on the Dream FAQ page as the project develops and grows.

Reports

Many of the projects and goals of IASD can be followed by reading the Board Reports. Here you will get an insiders view on how the organization works. You can also follow the many special projects and their development.

Volunteers

IASD welcomes volunteers and we have some great volunteer programs! Conference volunteers receive special rates at our conferences and online volunteers learn about the working of the Internet. Also, our Volunteers page has updates and information for those of you who are already volunteers.
