The International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) is looking for dedicated volunteers to help with its annual conference. IASD is an all-volunteer organization requiring many people to donate their time.
On-site volunteers are involved in many activities including:
Staffing registration tables, assisting in the product store, acting as room monitors, and providing audio-visual assistance.
On-site volunteers are needed for the following times and days:
8AM-10PM June 26, 2009 through June 30, 2009.
Off-site volunteer positions are also needed prior to the conference for preparing registration materials.
As an on-site volunteer you can also enjoy much of the conference. On-site volunteers work roughly 16 conference hours over the five day period in order to attend the conference for the volunteer fee (outlined below). IASD also makes every effort to accommodate volunteers by assigning tasks and time preferences according to volunteer requests.
All volunteers must register for the conference.
The volunteer fee is $150, $100 of which will be reimbursed when the required work hours are completed. (On-site volunteers are reimbursed at the conference.) Volunteers must arrange for their own expenses (travel, lodging and meals). The volunteer fee also excludes CE or special event fees.
All on-site volunteers will be expected to attend a training session at the beginning of the conference.
The Volunteer Acceptance procedure:
1.) IASD reviews your application
2.) If accepted as a conference volunteer you receive an approval notice from the Volunteer Co-Chair.
3.) You are then free to register for the conference online. Don’t forget to check off that you are a volunteer and to pay the reduced volunteer fee of $150, $100 of which will be reimbursed to you when your required hours are completed. Please understand you will have to pay for travel, lodging, and meals. Should you attend a special event or require CE fees, these are also your financial responsibility.
4.) You are assigned duties based on our best ability to satisfy your preferences, balanced against the needs of the conference. You will be notified by email of your scheduled sessions.
Please read the information on the following two links before completing the application form.
